While some were born into Orthodox families, others embraced Orthodoxy because of their partners.


Tom Hanks

The actor, whose father is a descendant of Abraham Lincoln, love made him convert to the Orthodox faith. After marrying his colleague Rita Wilson, the actor decided to become an Orthodox believer. Rita's father is from Bulgaria, and her mother and Greek woman are from Albania.


James Belushi

Fifty-six-year-old James Adam Belushi was born in Chicago and his parents emigrated from an Albanian village near the border with Greece. James is a member of the Albanian Orthodox Church and is proud of his roots.



Naomi Campbell

The 40-year-old beauty, who was born in London, comes from Jamaica by her mother. But love is crucial in this case as well, the relationship with the Russian tycoon Vladislav Doronin, Naomi became a believer in the Russian Orthodox Church.



Kim Kardashian
