 We live in a fictional world of likes and posts, believing that other people’s lives are better and more colorful than ours. When you wake up in the morning and open your phone, it sets a trajectory that shapes your entire day. You see someone on Facebook and can’t shake off that thought or memory for hours. Then you see a picture and dwell on it, and before you know it, your day has passed unnoticed while your energy is spent elsewhere. I recommend another approach: when you wake up in the morning, go for a walk in the park. In the afternoon, after work, put your phone on airplane mode so it doesn’t distract you. There is something magnetic about nature.
