Parade of the Planets: A Fairytale Journey Through the Worlds of the Solar System

Episode 13 of Tales of Astronomy , titled Parade of the Planets , is a wonderful turning point in the series. Instead of focusing on just one planet, this episode looks back at the entire Solar System and brings together many of the scientific ideas introduced in earlier adventures. True to the spirit of the series, it does this not through a dry review lesson, but through a magical and imaginative story full of humor, worry, invention, and reflection. At the heart of the episode is a familiar pattern that Tales of Astronomy handles especially well: fear leads to curiosity, and curiosity leads to knowledge. This time, the fear comes from Pitia, who has heard that a “parade of the planets” is coming and immediately assumes it must mean bad luck and disaster. To calm her down, Yavor, Kristina, and Wendelin use a strange new invention — a machine that captures and displays memories. With its help, they revisit everything they have learned so far about the planets. This structure mak...

How does the body warn us that we are eating poorly?

Due to the fast and stressful lifestyle, it is difficult to notice the subtle signs with which the body tries to tell us that something is wrong. It sends us various messages that we usually ignore or reach for unnecessary drugs and instant solutions, and without thinking about the root of the problem…

The human body, experts say, starts showing symptoms very early that something is wrong and that we don't take care of ourselves enough.

We are often destroyed by poor nutrition, insufficient movement, but also stress.

Poor hair quality. Cracked ends, hair loss, excessively oily hair, and dandruff are signs that we are malnourished and that the body lacks protein, healthy fats, iron, and zinc, as well as vitamin C. Hair, is among the first to start sending the message that we are eating poorly.

Premature aging. Aging cannot be avoided, but premature aging can. Dry skin and wrinkles sometimes appear earlier because we do not eat enough fruits and vegetables, and our body lacks vitamins A, C, D, and E, as well as carotenoids and flavonoids.

The poor condition of the oral cavity. Inflammation and bleeding gums, frequent bleeding teeth, their loss, and changes in the tongue, indicate that we have too much unhealthy sugar in our food. We may not eat sweets every day, but we consume juices and other foods that we don’t know contain sugar. Such a diet inevitably leads first to problems in the oral cavity, and then to more serious problems.

Slow wound healing. Slow wound healing also indicates a lack of nutrients in the body. The body does not have the strength to heal the tissue, it needs more time to recover and it is difficult to fight infections.

Rapid weight loss and obesity. Any drastic change in body weight is a sign that we are in a complete imbalance in terms of diet, and research shows that it leads to cancer over time.

Problems with concentration and memory. If you notice that you often forget things, have bad memories, and have difficulty concentrating, your diet is probably low in omega-3 fatty acids, which are necessary for healthy brain function.

Fatigue and exhaustion. Most people complain of symptoms of fatigue and exhaustion, and these are the first signs that we are eating poorly and harming the body. The problem can be solved only by introducing healthy products into the diet, regular exercise, and quality sleep.
